NFL Playoffs: Conference Championship Games Preview

It's championship week in the NFL, you win and you have yourself a ticket to Arizona where Super Bowl 49 is taking place. Could we see Rodgers vs Brady or Luck vs Wilson? Here I preview both games.

Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks
NFC Championship

This is the early game for Sunday, it's where Arod takes on the fantastic Seattle Seahakws defense. It's a rematch of the first game of the season but both teams have gotten so much better and I expect a different and a much better game. It's offense vs defense, could Rodgers pull one out in Seattle on one leg? I think he can because he has the ability to sit in the pocket and zip the ball to his target, never in my life have I seen a more accurate QB than him & that's what he brings to the table. He knows how to read defenses and make smart decisions with the football. You can't forget about the best RB the cold, Eddie Lacy who can run you over in a blink of an eye, he can cut really good as well. The X-factor in this game is Jordy Nelson because he hasn't shown up in big games, if he can do well Sunday that opens up the offense for the Packers and now Nelson is a threat to Seattle's defense. The only problem is, the Packers aren't at Lambeau this week and need to find a way to win in Seattle.

Seattle's offense needs to play good, their defense has kept them in most of their games and it can't happen here. Russell Wilson has to make plays with his feet to extend plays and find an open man, the only problem is, the Packers have a good defensive line & Seattle's WR aren't good, they're decent. Lynch needs to run the football with authority & straight down the Packers throat, he will have a good game but I don't think that's enough because Wilson is going to have to pass & Green Bay is going to stop him because their LB are smart & know how to read QBS. On the defensive side, they're sitting in a comfortable spot but the only problem is that they're facing Aaron Rodgers. He will struggle but will adjust in the second half to figure out this Seattle defense. Even with the home crowd, the Packers will pull one out in Seattle by a score of 24-20. 

Prediction: Packers 24-20 Seahawks

Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots
AFC Championship

The youngster Andrew Luck is facing off with the veteran Super Bowl QB, Tom Brady. The two will meet Sunday last afternoon after Luck got a win down in Colorado over Peyton, while Brady played a spectacular game at home against a great Ravens defense. The Pats pass game is unstoppable, with Brady under center you have the beast in Gronkowski, the big WR LaFell, the mini Megatron, Julian Edelman. Danny Amendola can make some plays as well and the Colts need to keep an eye on him. The Pats have many depth at the Running Back position & it will help them against one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL. Plus, New England has a pretty good offensive line & they're one of the best pass blocking offensive line in football. On the defensive side, New England is stacked in the secondary position, they have a top 3 CB in Darrel Revis. Brandon Browner is fantastic as well, he's a top 10 CB and will shut down your key weapon on offense. The defensive line for the Pats are pretty good, they can bring pressure to the QB & I think they will this weekend especially because the Colts offensive line isn't so good & you can't always relay on them in that scenario.

Indys offense has been clicking on the past two weeks. Their offensive line is protecting their young QB pretty well in the playoffs but I think they will struggle against the Patriots. When you have guys like Revis, Browner, Mayo, & etc. you will shut down Lucks weapons and that allows the defensive line for the Pats to get to the QB. If the Colts go hurry up then I think it can turn out to be a totally different game but the Colts do have. A dangerous offense. Hilton, Knicks, Wayne, Fleener, & Allen. Two good TE at their disposal will help a lot on Sunday. They don't have an effect run game so it's going to come down to where Luck has to outplay Brady. He has to make the right decisions even if he has time in the pocket or getting pressured, you can't force anything you have to be patient. He's still young and needs to learn all those things even though he's great. I don't trust this Colts defense, their defensive line will bring no pressure this week because they're facing an elite offensive line and stopping the run for them is incredibly hard. They can't give up big plays and they need to force turnovers, if they can force enough turnovers then they have a very good chance at winning this game. Their secondary has been playing pretty good, but I think Gronk is way to much for them and he will be the x-factor for the Pats on offense. We seen in the middle of the season what he did to them in Indy and it didn't look pretty. They also have Blount at their disposal and that's another issue, I think the Pats will be too much this Sunday and I have them winning 31-21. 

Prediction: Colts 21-31 Patriots
