Mandatory military service for the Korean had him stepping into the Octagon for the first time in three-and-a-half years - but he showed no signs of rust with a thunderous uppercut midway through the first.
Elsewhere in Houston, Felice Herrig stunned Alexa Grasso after James Vick scored a big time submission win over Abel Trujillo. Most notably there was a strawweight slugfest to remember when Jéssica Andrade punched her ticket for a title shot by outgunning Angela Hill.

Heavyweights were next up on the bill and unsurprisingly it didn't last long. Marcel Fortuna rocked Anthony Hamilton's bell and had him disorientated for a stunning first-round knockout. He started tentatively by working with the jab on the outside, but Hamilton was beginning to control the fight with his central, forward pressure and did land some significant shots. The marks were soon shown with Fortuna sporting a large cut which needed the doctor to green light for the fight to continue, and when it did, he would stun his opponent, have him wobbled and then clip him with a sensational shot on the counter, putting him completely out of it.
