Bellew, nicknamed 'The Bomber', unleashed verbal bombs at bitter rival and two-time world champion Haye following his effortless triumph over American BJ Flores in front of his adored fans at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.
Before that encounter, though, challenger BJ Flores was at the end of some vicious bombs in the second round as he fell to the canvas from two separate left hooks, before then barely surviving the round following a hurtful barrage of shots on the ropes with a right hand from Bellew scoring another valuable knockdown.
Although Bellew evidently hits hard, the body language of Flores spoke a thousand words and he constantly glanced with discontent at his corner each time he hit the deck and the end came in the third round when Bellew, who took a right hand in the process, then delivered a sweet left hook to the jaw of Flores who failed to beat the count.
Bellew and Haye, who almost came to blows, had to be restrained by ringside security before the WBC titleholder launched a foul-mouthed verbal assault at the 36-year old, former two-time, two-weight world champion.
Bellew: "Haye has been conning the British public since his pathetic comeback. The two guys you (Haye) beat are either working on nightclub doors or putting the bins away. They were a joke.
Bellew also said that with 10oz gloves on, he will put Haye and his "pathetic haircut" to sleep, before labelling him a "bitch" and to sign the contract.
