An open letter to Arsene Wenger
This is my first article on TSM for a while, but the 2-1 defeat yesterday to Watford was one step too far for myself and the Arsenal faithful.
If you still want Wenger here, ask yourself why? Go on, I'll give you a minute.
Okay, got it?
If you answered because of legacy, go and support Nottingham Forest, because they won the Champions League in '79 and '80. Or Blackburn because they won the Premier League in '94/'95. Football has changed.
Everyone mocks Chelsea's manager antics, but guess who won the Premier League last? Guess who the last English team to win the Champions League was? Guess who the last English team was who won the Europa League? All three of the answers are Chelsea. Arsenal, the two FA Cup wins back to back were just a gimmick, they didn't satisfy our wishes of a league title or European trophy.
Arsenal have their history. But it's time to move on. #WengerIN or #WengerOUT? I'm neither. They have too many jokes attached to them. So I'll go another route.
Adios, Wenger. Enjoy the rest of your life and I wish you all the happiness in your personal life, but stop bringing misery to Arsenal.
