Of course, with us being a sports website and all, there's no better opportunity to look forth to the sport that will take place in the 2016. We've been thrilled and captivated by 2015, now it's time to see what's going to follow it up.
Perhaps the pinnacle of sports, the Olympics takes over Rio de Janiero for two weeks of the very best action, and it's at time where any fan can just indulge in the frenzy of sports, whatever they like.
Rio 2016 will be the peak of the summer, and we will have it covered for you all.
It's the beautiful game. It seems to get more beautiful each and every passing year - but this time, going along with the seasonal festivities is the biggest European Championships ever, as Paris is the central stage for the second biggest International tournament in the game.
Switching gears temporarily back to the club scene and you have plenty of moving parts poised. The Premier League is exciting as ever with Leicester still continuing their meteoric and surprise climb to potential title contention in a table which looks jumbled but intriguing.
Of course the transfer window has just opened too, that's what the new year is about after all for football fanatics. Whether or not the Catalan giants Barcelona can dominate across the world once more is another question, along with how the imminent managerial switch of Pep Guardiola will affect that.
But the main event of 2016 will always be the European Championships, France will stand strong to hold an event that may just be continental in scale but global in the magnetic attraction surrounding it. It's going to be one wild tournament.
2015 was a big year for cricket and with the World Cup in the books, there's now the micro version of the sport's biggest tournament: The Twenty20 World Championship.
The shorter format of the game deemed more exciting for the casual fans featuring 16 teams playing in India. Sri Lanka will look to defend their crown but with the Aussies looking strong and opposition mounting, that will be a hard task.
2015 was arguably the greatest year in the UFC's history. What's the most exciting thing about that, though, is that 2016 is going to be even better.
With UFC 200 the cornerstone of the year's action, the amount of excitement cannot be contained. It starts with a war as Lawler and Condit clash for Welterweight gold and the year will feature Rousey's return to get revenge on Holly Holm, Conor McGregor continuing his run which could result in a Lightweight title shot, the return of Jon Jones, and more.
UFC is going to get a whole lot bigger and 2016 will be another colossal springboard.
